John Davies has become the TAGGS Chairman for 2024. Steve Pickford stepped down at the AGM after 5 years and John took over. John has been a member of TAGGS from the start in the 80's and is a good appointment as we move into our 40th Anniversary year.

Vinny Mason wins Singles Trophy
Vinny Mason was triumphant in the Singles Trophy Final at Mere GC against Daz Roberts. Daz started his round well taking a 2 hole lead after 6. A little more consolidation and he was 3 up with 6 to play. Vinny came roaring back and started to play a little more like his normal game. The pair teed off the 18th A/S. Vinny took the 18th with a solid par & won the tie.
We had record number of entries this year and we have been able to manage the ties in a timely manner to allow the final to take place in September. A very successful competition that went right down to the last hole.

Rick Hudd secures WEA Individual Trophy.
Rick Hudd secured the WEA Individual Trophy by the slenderest of margins over Shaun Jenkinson. The trophy is contested over the last two days of the WEA and the combined score of both players was the same. Therefore a card play-off was needed, for the first time in some time. Rick proved to be the winner and can be seen collecting the trophy from Chairman, Steve Pickford. Shaun came a close second and Mark Tyrer & Mick Metcalfe claimed third, again with equal overall scores, some three points back from the leaders.
