31st March - Fleetwood Golf Club

Fleetwood Golf Course was designed in 1932 by James Steer, although golf was believed to have taken place on site much earlier with local army bases playing golf on the site.

A traditional links course it is a much valued addition to the TAGGS golfing season.

13-Feb - Pike Fold GC

The season opener is at Pike Fold GC nestled between Bury and Unsworth. A visit to the club in 2022 was well received and has been voted by the members to be in the top 20 of the courses visited since 2013. An excellent start to the year.

20-Mar - Dunham Forest GC

March sees the society go to another favourite, Dunham Forest GC. Set in beautiful parkland on the outskirts of Altrincham, Dunham Forest is a lovely golf course and yet offers some tough tree lined fairways. One to play at all costs.

15-Apr - Lymm GC

Lymm GC is a beautiful course in the village of Lymm just a couple of miles south of Warrington. A large section of our society have lived or live in and around the village and so the course is well known to many members. An excellent re-visit from many years ago.

9-May - Northernden GC

Northernden GC is new course in recent years, set on the banks of the River Mersey just south of Manchester. The course was opened in 1913 and offers a stunning setting with tree lined fairways and water hazards. With a recently upgraded clubhouse and state of the art practise facilities, another excellent choice.

12-Jun - High Legh Park GC

High Legh is another course in the local region for most members, set in a beautiful corner of Cheshire between Lymm and Knutsford. The course is a young course set on an ex air force training camp, the club boasts 18 hole and 9 hole courses. An excellent value for money course and will offer a trick or two up its sleeve.

18-Jul - Lancaster GC

Lancaster GC is a recent host to TAGGS, in 2022 when Darren Smith was Captain. Another of this years courses to figure in our top 20 courses visited. An historic clubhouse gives you an idea of the spectacular views, along with some exceptionally manicured holes. Another 'must go' for the 2025 season.

5-Aug - Sandiway GC

Sandiway is one of Cheshire's best known courses, TAGGS have visited a number of times and cannot get enough of it. Located in the heart of Mid-Cheshire, Sandiway is a real test of golf and yet offers so many stunning views. Once more it features in our top 20 courses visited in recent years.

25-Oct - Porthmadog GC - Captain's Day

Steve Occleston ends his year where he is a member, Porthmadog GC. Set on the North Wales coast the course defines a 2 in 1 course. The front 9 is mostly parkland and the back 9 links. The course has some unbelievable views of the bay below, an absolute stonker to end the year on.
